Performance Music's musical instruction is the centerpiece of our business. Creating a friendly environment for our students is just as important as understanding our customer's needs to be successful in music instruction. Learning music is a fun and positive experience that Performance Music cherishes and understands. Over the years Performance Music has been lucky enough to experience the evolution of all our students which allows us to truly take in what is required as musical instruction center in order to be successful. When considering lessons, we will be glad to help you understand the choices you have.

For questions regarding availability of lessons, our general schedule runs based on after school times. Lessons are held every day we are open for business, with different teachers in throughout the week. Signing up lessons can be done at the store or over the phone. For information on teachers, please visit the Teachers Section of our site. Please call us at 413-568-5383 for information on lesson time availabilities.

Lessons are available for students of all playing levels.

Lessons are a half hour long. They take place once a week, on the same day and time.

Performance Music does not require long term commitment, please notify the management of Performance Music in writing one week prior to discontinuing lessons.

  • Payment must be received upon the first week of the month. All payments received after the 7th day of that month will be assessed a $10 late fee. Performance Music does not send bills unless the account falls delinquent. It is the customer's responsibility to pay at the front desk.
  • All lessons, must be paid for whether or not the student attends them, as the teacher must be paid for his/her time. In order to receive a credit for an absence (Planned Absence), the student must notify the staff at the front desk in the first week of that month’s lessons. Lessons cancelled after the first week are due in full. Teachers can and often do provide students with make-up lessons for missed lessons however, Performance Music does not require teachers to do makeups. Makeups are only entitled if the teacher cancels.
  • If for any reason the lessons are terminated, Performance Music must be notified in writing, one week prior to the final lesson. Lapsed attendance from lessons does not excuse a student from his/her obligation to pay.
  • Performance Music reserves the right to suspend or discontinue lessons of any student who is delinquent in fulfilling his/her financial obligation. Performance Music reserves the right to charge a $10.00 late fee for those payments received after the 7th day of that month. If any student falls two months behind in their lesson payments, lessons will be automatically suspended until payment is received.

Performance Music is the proud continuation of the music facility, which has been in downtown Westfield for nearly 70 years. Your continued support of our business is greatly appreciated and we will continue to do our best to bring music into your life.
